Message from the head
As we reach the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy, successful and memorable few weeks.
Our Year 6 pupils have enjoyed a fantastic programme of leavers' events, celebrating the end of their primary school journey. From their impressive Enterprise fundraiser, where they demonstrated creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills, to the much-anticipated Splashdown celebration and the filming of their Silverbox videos, they have created memories that will last a lifetime. We are immensely proud of each and every one of them—not only for what they have achieved this year, but for the kind, resilient and thoughtful young people they have become. We are also looking forward to celebrating together one final time at next week's Leavers' Assembly, when we will have the opportunity to reflect on their time at our school and wish them every success as they begin the next exciting chapter of their education.
This week also saw our Ofsted inspection. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our entire school community for the overwhelming support shown throughout the process. Thank you to our parents and carers who took the time to share their views, and, most importantly, to our exceptional staff and wonderful children. They represented our school with confidence, enthusiasm and pride, and their hard work, commitment and positivity shone through in every aspect of school life.
Our Sports Day was another real highlight of the term. It was wonderful to see children taking part with such enthusiasm, demonstrating not only determination and healthy competition, but also excellent teamwork, encouragement and respect for one another. The atmosphere throughout the day perfectly reflected the values we strive to nurture every day.
I would also like to thank all of our parents and families who have joined us over the past few weeks to celebrate the children's learning in their classrooms. Seeing our pupils proudly sharing their work and achievements with those closest to them has been a wonderful reminder of the strong partnership we have between home and school. Your continued support makes a tremendous difference to your children's education and to our wider school community.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has contributed to another successful year. Together, we have celebrated achievements, embraced challenges and continued to ensure that our children receive the very best opportunities to learn, grow and flourish.
As we finish for the summer on Wednesday 22nd July, I would like to wish all of our children, families and staff a wonderful, restful and well-deserved break. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year and for the important role you play in our school community.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September, refreshed, re-energised and ready for another exciting year of learning.

Computing Update
There have been some fantastic computing topics being taught this term. Year 1 have been using our set of iPads to write algorithms in Scratch Jr. They have been programming sprites to move, change in size and speak. Their space rocket races were amazing!
Year 5 has just begun learning how to program a Crumble microcontroller. These fantastic devices teach the children how to wire batteries, controllers, LEDs and motors. Then they learn to program them using a PC or Chromebook.
Finally, photo editing has been a real hit in Year 4 with the children enjoying editing and enhancing images.

Family Champion Community Spotlight:
Supporting Our School Community
We want to extend a huge thank you to Cranks for their wonderful support in providing free second hand bicycles to help children in our school community stay active and mobile.
Please note that they do not take direct public requests. Instead, they work quietly behind the scenes, partnering directly with schools and local organisations to allocate bikes through an application process when they have the right stock available.
If you have an unused bike at home that is looking for a new home, please consider donating it to them so they can continue supporting local families.

Summer Gathering - £500 Raised!
Thanks to everyone who helped out and came to enjoy our Summer Gathering last Friday. It was so nice getting together and having some fun.
The home clothes day and after school event raised £500 for the school which is quite an achievement especially considering everything was priced at just 50p!

If your child needs to attend a medical or dental appointment, we strongly encourage you to make the appointment(s) out of school hours. Where this is not possible (usually an emergency/hospital appointment), please notify the school office in advance of the appointment.
