Newsletter Friday 6th February

Message from the Head

Thank you for another wonderful week at Queen’s Park. The school has been buzzing with positivity, hard work, and plenty to celebrate.

‘You’ve Been Spotted…’ – Handwriting & Presentation
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been focusing on handwriting and presentation across the school. Every pupil has shown real determination to improve the way they set out their work, and we have been genuinely impressed by their efforts. A special well done to the children who were invited to our ‘You’ve been spotted…’ tea party for making exceptional progress. We can’t wait to host more celebrations as we shine a spotlight on different areas of the curriculum throughout the year.

Year 6 Athletics
We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils who represented Queen’s Park at the Brighton and Hove Indoor Athletics Competition. They demonstrated fantastic teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm. Mr Taylor was delighted with their performance and the way they represented our school.

Parent’s Evening – Next Week
We are very much looking forward to welcoming families into school for Parent’s Evening on Tuesday 10th February and Thursday 12th February. Please make sure you have booked your appointment to meet with your child’s class teacher and celebrate the progress they have made so far this year. If you need any help with booking, the school office will be happy to support you.

Safer Internet Day
Next week, we will also be marking Safer Internet Day on Tuesday 10th February. Online safety continues to be a key priority for us, and pupils will be exploring this important topic through assemblies and class activities. During Parent’s Evening, we will also be offering information and resources to help families support safe and confident online behaviour at home. Please click on this link to find resources to support with this important topic at home.

Best wishes,
