Message From The Head
Dear families,
Queen’s Park Primary has always been proud of being a strong, inclusive and supportive community. The vast majority of our families show kindness, respect and care for one another and for the staff who work tirelessly for our children — and I want to begin by thanking you for that.
Recently, however, a small number of comments about the school have been posted repeatedly across public social media platforms. I want to be very clear about the impact of this.
Our staff, families and community see these posts. They are read by teachers, support staff and leaders who come to work every day committed to doing the very best for your children. Publicly written comments that are unkind, personal or misleading are deeply upsetting to our whole community and can have a significant impact on staff wellbeing and morale.
This behaviour goes against our code of conduct, which asks all members of our community to communicate respectfully and raise concerns directly with the school so that they can be addressed properly, fairly and constructively.
Queen’s Park is a reflective school. We listen carefully, we act on feedback, and we take concerns seriously when they are raised through the appropriate channels. Social media is not one of those channels.
I also want to say how grateful I am to the many families who continue to speak positively about the school, support our staff, and model the values we teach our children: kindness, integrity and collaboration. Your messages, emails and conversations mean more than you may realise.
If you have a concern, please bring it to us directly. That is how we improve. That is how we work together. And that is how we remain the school our children deserve.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs. Gale

A message from your house captains!

With heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Ms. Buxton
As Ms. Buxton retires from Queen’s Park Primary, we want to take a moment to celebrate the truly inspirational contribution she has made to our school community.
Ms. Buxton has led music at Queen’s Park with passion, creativity and an unwavering belief in the power of music to bring people together. From the infectious energy of our samba bands, to unforgettable National Theatre projects, joyful singing assemblies and spectacular Christmas shows, her work has given our children confidence, voice and a lifelong love of music.
Beyond the school gates, Ms. Buxton has helped our pupils connect with the wider community — singing in local spaces, performing at citywide events and proudly representing Queen’s Park with warmth and professionalism. These experiences have created memories that will stay with us and our children long after they leave us.
Ms. Buxton's legacy is not just in performances, but in the joy, courage and sense of belonging she has nurtured through music. She has enriched our school immeasurably, and Queen’s Park is a more vibrant, musical and connected place because of her.
We thank Ms. Buxton for everything she has given to Queen’s Park and wish her a retirement filled with music, adventure and well-earned rest. She will always be part of the Queen’s Park story.
With love and gratitude,
The Queen’s Park Community
