Newsletter 10.9.21

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome everyone to Queen’s Park Primary.

The children have been settling into their new class and getting to know some of the school routines. They are all doing amazingly well.

The staff in each class are:

Ladybirds- Ms Myatt –class teacher – Mrs Mollanji – Teaching assistant, Lisa – Individual needs assistant

Butterflies- Ms Whitehead –class teacher – Ms Sanchez – Teaching assistant, Mr Diaz – Individual needs assistant.

Ms Buxton will be taking Ladybirds class on Wednesday mornings and Butterflies class all day on Thursdays.

Your child will need a book bag and a named water bottle, that should have a non-spill lid (no screw caps), which they will need to bring into school each day.

We will provide your child with a snack in the morning, which is either a piece of fruit or vegetable. If you wish to provide your own snack for your child then it must be a piece of fruit or vegetable.

Where possible, please send your child into school with clothes they can manage themselves and practise taking on and off their jumpers/cardigans, coats and shoes at home.

Please ensure your child’s jumper/cardigan is named and they have a named coat and appropriate school footwear, as we will have outdoor play every day even when it is raining.

Ladybirds will have their indoor P.E session on Tuesday am

Butterflies will have their indoor P.E session on Thursday am

Your child does not need a P.E kit at the moment as they will just take off their jumper and shoes and socks. We will let you know when you will need to provide one.

Just to remind you about the times for next week:

Drop off will be at the school gate

The gate will be open from 8:45am and all children should be in class by 8:55am

At 2:55 the gate should be open and you may come into the playground and wait outside your child’s classroom. If the gate is not open then please press the intercom and the office staff will let you in.

At the end of the school day, can you please ensure that your child is not using the school playground equipment, as there are no trained First Aid adults in the playground at that time.

Kind regards
