This week the children have been focussing on consonant (sh, ch, th, th, ng) and vowel digraphs (ai and ee). We have also been looking at the Phase 3 Tricky words: you, they and all. In Maths the children have been learning about numbers from 10-15. They have explored the value of numbers and looked at one more and one less than a given number. This week in English the children have learnt about Poetry. The children have been investigating rhyming strings and then we went onto look at nonsense poems. The children have ended the week by writing their own verse in the format of the famous poem by Spike Milligan ‘On the Ning, Nang, Nong.’
