Easter Holiday Homework Ideas

Your child will bring home a pack of suggested homework activities for the Easter Holidays.

Maths – we will be learning about time after the holiday and so we have included a worksheet where the children have to draw on the hands to show the time. It would be very helpful if you could show your child a clock and how to show times on the hour, half past and then quarter to/past.

Reading – we have also included a reading booklet. Some children have a booklet to read and then another with questions in. Other children will have a combined booklet. Depending on how confident your child is as a reader, they can work through this on their own or you can work through it with them. As always, we recommend to do a small amount of work at a time. You don’t have to do the whole thing in one go.

Writing – after Easter we will be writing diary entries so we have included a writing frame in their homework pack. Your child could write a diary entry for a day, a weekend or their whole holiday. The focus remains on using capital letters, full stops and writing in coherent sentences.

Don’t forget to keep reading as often as possible and practising the 2, 5, 10 and 3 times tables.

Have a lovely Easter!
