This week in Year 5 we have been completing our topic on the Anglo Saxons and starting our new topic! To finish our work on Anglo Saxons we made shields, focusing on painting and layering.
Our new topic is Making the Modern World. In our stunning start we learnt a little about the work of Leonardo Da Vinci and invented a package that would protect an egg when it was dropped from the top of our stairs! This was a lot of fun!
We are looking forward to next week as it will be Science week and will fit perfectly with our new topic!
Year 5 children have been asked to run a stall at the Summer Fair next Friday. We are in charge of ‘The Human Fruit Machine’ stall. If your child would like to help out for half an hour on the stall, please ask them to sign up on the sheet in the Year 5 classrooms.
