In Year 3 this week, we have started to create our own adventure stories after reading ‘The Tunnel’ written by Anthony Browne. The children have been incredibly inventive and we have enjoyed reading the beginning of their stories.
We will be starting to create our own imaginary story after reading ‘Where the Wild Things are!’ written by Maurice Sendak. In Maths, we have started our division unit, focusing on the factor families and how multiplication and division are inverse operations. Make sure you keep practising your times tables!
This week we will be completing our science unit on Magnets by planning a fair test to discover how strong magnets are.
There are still children who are not bringing in the appropriate PE kits. Please ensure all children have a change of clothing for their lesson.
Crickets PE is on a Tuesday and a Thursday
Glowworms PE is on a Wednesday and a Friday
As of this week we will be choreographing our Dance at the Dome routine. This means that on some occasions, we will be rehearsing as a whole year group. We are really excited about our Brighton theme for this dance and we hope your children are looking forward to a fantastic experience. We will keep you posted on the progress in these next 8 weeks!
