What a brilliant week!
In English this week, we identified poetic features in ‘The Tyger’ by William Blake and learnt to retell the poem in groups. In Maths, we practised dividing numbers by 10 and 100, using Dienes to show tenths and hundredths and writing fractions as decimals.
Next week, we’ll learn about the writer’s choice of language and poetic techniques and adapt and innovate ‘The Tyger’ to create our own poems. In Maths, we’ll investigate adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. Our learning in Topic will explore differences between the Celts and the Romans. We’ll continue to learn about Roman mosaics in Art. In Science, we’ll compare and contrast the life cycles of different animals.
Have a great weekend,
The Y4 team
