Hi Year 3!
This blog is here for extra ideas of activities for you to carry on your learning and to keep you from getting bored. You don’t have to do all the activities on here. In fact you don’t have to do any of them if you don’t want to. They are just fun ideas for you and your grown-ups with lots of things you can have a go at independently without your grown-up’s support.
Writing prompt of the day:
Write some instructions for how to care for a dragon’s egg.
Things to remember:
-Remember to start with a ‘How to….’title
-Have a list of ‘What you need’ section
-Write in numbered steps or bullet points
-Try to include some time connectives like: First, then, next, after
PE activity of the day:
If you have a football you could try these skills of the day created by a Brighton based Football Academy.
or try some Go Noodle activities where you copy the character’s moves:
Drawing challenge of the day:
Have a go at drawing… an owl with a hat on
You can draw from your imagination, look up pictures to help you or draw from real life if you have one in your home 🙂
Idea for a Computing activity:
Have a go at coding by trying the activities at: https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/codeclub
Start with the Scrach, HTML and CSS or Python modules as these don’t need any equipment other than a computer/device to access them
Idea for a History activity:
Make a timeline of your life or the life of someone in your family. Start at the year you/they were born and add on other events like brothers and sisters being born, starting school, losing your first tooth, meeting different friends, first time you went to a club or tried a new sport.
We hope you are having a good week and we’re looking forward to seeing you all when school is back on.
