Hi Year 3!
This blog is here for extra ideas of activities for you to carry on your learning and to keep you from getting bored. You don’t have to do all the activities on here. In fact you don’t have to do any of them if you don’t want to. They are just fun ideas for you and your grown-ups with lots of things you can have a go at independently without your grown-up’s support.
Writing prompt of the day:
Write a conversation you would imagine your dragon having with a knight, a princess or a superhero.
Things to remember:
-Put speech marks around what is being said
-Start speech with a capital letter
-Put punctuation in before you close the speech marks
-Start a new line when someone new speaks
-Try to include some conjunctions like: and, but, so, because, when, if, before, after
“What are you doing here?” said the dragon who was surprised to someone on his mountain.
“I need your help because my friend is trapped on a strange island!” replied Batman.
PE activity of the day:
Try copying these dance moves on Just Dance:
Drawing challenge of the day:
Have a go at drawing… something you like to eat
You can draw from your imagination, look up pictures to help you or draw from real life if you have one in your home 🙂
Idea for a Science activity:
Have a go at the ‘fork balancer’ activity on the Marvin and Milo website. https://spark.iop.org/fork-balancer
You will need:
-A cup of water
-A toothpick (or something similar)
Idea for an Singing activity:
Sing along to your favourite song. You could also practise some of the songs we learn at school. Don’t forget your ‘Stand up, shoulders down’ warm up. See if you can teach it to someone in your family.
We hope you have a good day and we miss you all.
