Today, the children in Year 2 got to recreate the Great Fire of London. The bad weather at the end of last term meant that we had to postpone until we had a dry day with low winds.
All of their lovely Tudor House models were arranged in the playground to resemble the narrow streets of London in 1666. With everyone at a safe distance and all the necessary precautions in place, the fire was started. The wind did its job and the fire spread to all the models. It was a fabulous way to show the children how the fire would have spread.
Can they see their house?
