What an exciting day! The children were transported back in time to the year 1666. There was lots of work to be done.
The children made dough in the bakers, they made perfume pouches, they treated each others illnesses at the apothecary, they made leather bookmarks, they dipped their own candles, they made clay pots, they wove coloured threads and stitched their initials into a hankie as well as making ink and writing with a quill pen. In the afternoon they dug up artifacts to identify whose houses had burnt down.
They learnt lots about the great fire of London and are excited for the rest of our topic. Ask your child what was their favourite part of the day.
