Dougal’s Deep Sea Diary

In English, we have started our new unit on diary writing. We have read the story Dougal’s Deep Sea Diary and have explored what diary entry looks like. The children have been reading and learning a small section of Dougal’s dairy. Ask your child if they can remember any of the actions!

At the moment we are changing this diary entry to be about another adventure. This will help the children to learn the type of sentences and the structure needed for a diary. There have been tunnels, unicorns, hot air balloons and magical camels. Make sure you ask your child about their ideas.
